Wasilly Kandinsky

Wasilly Kandinsky (1923 Physiological test)

During our lecture we carried out the phycological test in order to show how we depict colours, we were told to draw a square circle and a triangle and draw each individual shape with either blue yellow or red. Upon doing this we then revealed our results to find that majority of the class had all follows the same rule. which is the conventional use of colour above.

Kandinsky said that. “A dull shape like a circle deserves a colour like blue, a shape with intermediate interest like a square deserves and intermediate colour like red, an interesting shape like a triangle deserves and energetic luminous psychotic colour like yellow.”  Stating this he broadens what has been said by telling us that other things such as lines and additional geometric shapes follow a similar trend.
